The no longer hooded bear revealed the intricacies of the BAVACCS corporation. It is in fact, a shell company, owned by other dummy corporations that is seemingly owned by no one. Branches of those companies are used to manufacture and test products with seemingly no money coming in. They make advanced computer systems, pharmaceuticals, pretty much anything imaginable. Max was absorbed by the bear's, by Michael's, story of his abduction and molestation. At the end of it all Michael, Max, and Charlie were pretty upset. "Is there anything we can do?" Max broke the silence. "Well, I was gonna to save this for when we have more leverage, but I guess this is a good time as any. I was able to find the shipping address from the serial numbers on the parts from..." Charlie stopped herself. "Anyway, we could check it out. It should only be a few day's drive. " So the trio packed the mobile lab equipment and their personal effects before leaving the abandoned church and heading for the company that stole a little life from each of them. "What's today's date?" Max asked with a yawn as he awoke in the back seat of the car. Charlie took her eyes off of the road long enough to check the date on her phone. "March 14th, why?" "It's my birthday today." Charlie glanced at the quiet fox in the rear view mirror. When they stopped for gas, snacks and a bathroom break Charlie got Max a few presents. A brain shaped keychain, a digital pet, a hoodie, and his favorite candy, Reese's Pieces. "It's not much, but I thought you'd like those." Charlie said as she and Max waited for the hooded bear. Max slipped on the hoodie that was emblazoned with 'I *brain symbol* conspiracies' and smiled. "Thanks, I love... Them." Max whispered as Michael settled in the passenger seat. "Let's go." Then they were off to the next town. When Charlie was driving and Max was awake they would talk, but when Charlie was asleep and Michael was driving Max would occupy himself with his new toy and squishy brain keychain. "You guys can leave me, when this is all over. It wouldn't be the first time." Michael told Max and Max didn't know what to say, so they continued toward their destination silence. "Hey, we're here." The bear woke the sleeping pair of foxes after the car rolled to a stop at the front of an apparently abandoned building. They watched as a single person entered the building, a young, male wolf. "That was my babysitter." Max was shocked. "Let's get 'em." Charlie whispered to Michael. "You might not want to see this." She told Max. They gathered their pistols from the trunk. "I wanna go." The quiet fox was adamant. Michael handed him a pistol. "Don't get yourself killed." He offered and pulled his hood up. The three walked through the front door ready to end it all. The first few floors were empty, they found a certain wolf consorting with a horse woman that appeared to be his superior. Max darted into the room. "Why, why me?" The fox demanded. "Max, the cops said you were dead. It was all over the news." Scott seemed amazed. "Your parents were upset and blamed me, blamed BAVACCS. They were offered hush money and... It was all so chaotic. I got a job here, because they wanted to leave town before they were forced out-" "You keep talking, but you didn't answer the question." Max pulled back the hammer, he had played enough video games to know how to use a gun. "I just liked you..." Scott got nervous as Max drew closer. "We can remove it! The neural probes retract!" The horse woman looked mad. "Look, " she began "If we do this for you have to let us leave. We will stay out of your way if you stay out of our's, deal?" Michael wanted to gun them down, but he let Max decide. "Okay..." the fox replied reluctantly. Then it all happened so fast. Being rushed in to a sterilized room, being put under and waking up in a cot. He glanced at a bottle of pills in his right hand. "Are they..?" "They're gone. It's gonna take you awhile to get back to normal. You should rest." Michael replied. Max got up and pulled on his jeans. "Not while they're still out there. "
